The world famous Loro Parque situated at Puerto de la Cruz should be at the top of any holiday must see list. This world class zoo houses some of the most exotic species of wild life in the world. Loro Parque is arguably one of the best kept wildlife parks in Europe. Loro Parque also boasts the largest, penguin populated iceberg outside of Antarctica as well as one of the best dolphinariums in Europe. All these wonderful animals, birds and fish are really well looked after, with their natural habitat having been created down to the last detail with specialist vets and experts on hand twenty four hours a day. Another great day out in
Tenerife is Aqualand at Costa Adeje about a 15 minute bus ride from Los
Cristianos. A fun day out for kids of all ages. Don't forget to check out
the dolphin show.

Mount Teide maybe the most well known land mark on the island of Tenerife, whether you go on an organised trip or hire a car this is a great day out. Mount Teide dominates the landscape of Tenerife and is the highest mountain peak in the whole of Spain rising to 3718 metres above sea level. After getting as far as you can by road a cable car takes visitors the rest of the way to within 100 metres of the top weather permitting. | ||

Another must see place for stunning scenery is Masca in the north west of the Island, said to be the place that time has forgot, the drive to Masca has some of the most beautiful scenery on the island of Tenerife but the drive is not for the faint hearted. Click here to see Masca on You Tube.

Las
Aguilas Park also known as Jungle Park is located just outside Los Cristianos with impressive birds of prey
and exotic birds shows along with Europe’s only jungle the weather in
Tenerife allows this natural habitat where you can watch eagles and falcons flying free,
the shows are conducted by an expert training team, you will be
able to see the most exotic animals in their natural environment: tigers,
alligators, monkeys and, of course, the white lions estimated to be only
around 27 left in the world.

Tenerife's latest attraction, Siam Park, is situated on the outskirts of Costa Adeje, about a 10 minute bus ride from Los Cristianos and offers a wealth of attractions, with sea lions, crocodiles and a massive children's jungle park and water rides of all types including a kamikaze chute said to be the second largest in the world. There will also be a white sandy beach with waves for surfers, tornado rides as well as the slow river rides for those of us that just want to sit back and enjoy things at a slower pace. From Los
Cristianos harbour you can catch the Fred Olsen express catamaran to La Gomera, journey
time around 40 minutes the catamaran leaves Los Cristianos to La Gomera and
returns regularly every day. La Gomera has breathtaking scenery, the central
mountain measures 1487 metres at its highest peak with magnificent
gorges that run through the whole island reaching down to the sea with
evergreen laurel forests, valleys of banana plantations, citrus fruits, rocks and cacti,
all this adds up to form a unique landscape.
